Wristband Guide: replica NOMOS Watches Metro date power reserve for small wrists

I was a NOMOS fan for years before getting my first mainstream mechanical watch. I remember seeing Tangente for the first time on the wrist of a German colleague when we were involved in a multinational project abroad. It's simple, classy, and classy. I consciously made a mental note that one day, I would own a NOMOS timepiece.

Honestly, my favorite NOMOS series is Zurich Universal Time. I'm a big fan of complications, or what I call organized chaos on the dial. This is when a watch has more stuff on its dial, but designers are able to somehow keep all the extra clutter organized. NOMOS does a great job with its world timer.mens replica watch

So you might be wondering, why didn't I get Zurich? Simple answer: tiny wrists. In good weather, my wrists are at most 6.2in/15.5cm, which means over 70% of all watches on the market look like stylish wristbands on me.

I remember trying Zurich more than once, seeing the long lugs and sadly having to pass up every chance. The truth of the matter is that small wrists like mine are both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because many watches seem too big, and a curse because as a watch lover, there is nothing more painful than being able to wear a watch that you love so much.

NOMOS is one of the best brands out there and can explain why purely looking at case diameter oversimplifies wrist fit. First of all, most NOMOS watches are almost bezel-less, and almost all of them are dials. This means they will usually be much larger than the case diameter numbers indicate.buying replica watch

NOMOS watches worn larger than recommended diameter
The 37mm NOMOS Metro is a good example of this "full dial" scenario. As a comparison, I'm pitting it side by side with the very popular 39mm Tudor Black Bay 58. You'll notice that your eyes immediately recognize that the "smaller" NOMOS actually looks much bigger than the "bigger" Tudor.

NOMOS watches also tend to be classified as ultra-thin (i.e. under 10mm thick). One can learn a lot about the nuances of wearability of ultra-thin watches by observing and trying NOMOS. Most ultra-thin watches have the characteristic of lying very flat on the wrist, which causes them to "wear bigger" on the wrist.

When designing thicker watches, brands often try to slim down the visual appearance of the watch through the outline of the case, and at the same time, it is more in line with the general curvature of the wrist, thereby improving wear resistance. Ultra-thin cheap replica watches don't have much room to do this, and while it's not a deal breaker, it's worth trying it out for yourself to really understand the nuances. Again, this is something the numbers don't reveal!

The best NOMOS watches for small wrists
I would also say from experience that people with smaller wrists should stick to the 35mm version of the NOMOS watches as the lugs on many of the watches in the catalog, especially the 38mm version are usually longer than the famous 40mm sports watches from other mainstream brand! One of the only exceptions in the catalog is the Metro line shown here (which is part of the reason I own it!).

Note that the smaller Tangente 35mm has an even smaller lug-to-lug length than the 37mm Metro. It’s similar across the board, and now to tell you why I skipped the Zurich UTC, which itself has more than 49mm lug-to-lug. For context, this is longer than the lugs of the 41mm 2021 Rolex Submariner and the 42mm Omega Speedmaster Professional!

If it comes to NOMOS, I would like to leave one major takeaway for the average luxury replica watches enthusiast, and it is that most people should consider a smaller version of a NOMOS watch than conventional wisdom on case diameter would suggest.
