RC Aircraft Workshop at NITK, Surathkal:

It was 4:30 AM when I hopped onto the airport bus, bound for NITK Surathkal. The excitement was tangible as I embarked on this adventure. By 8:00 AM, I touched down at Mangalore Airport, and my trusty cab driver was there to whisk me away to NITK. The campus hummed with anticipation as students from all corners of India gathered for the event. Despite being strangers at first, I encouraged introductions, and soon we formed a tight-knit group, ready to dive into the world of aeromodelling.

Thirty bright-eyed students filled the room, eager to learn as we commenced our workshop. We began with an immersive session, diving into the world of RC aircraft, electronics, and the intricate components of planes. Their enthusiasm proved infectious as they absorbed every detail, and soon, the room crackled with energy, charged by their excitement and curiosity.

Hands-On Learning and Construction:

Armed with tools, we embarked on the practical aspect of the workshop, shaping wings, tails, and fuselages with precision. The workshop space was filled with the unmistakable scent of glue, while the gentle hum of motors added to the ambiance. Each student was fully immersed in the process, diligently building their dreams, piece by piece, with a sense of purpose and determination.

Lunchtime Conversations:

A hearty lunch fueled our creativity as conversations flowed freely. Ideas, laughter, and a shared passion for aviation filled the air.

Assembling and Integration:

As the afternoon sun filtered through the workshop windows, students dove into assembling their planes, connecting wires and components with purpose. The room hummed with energy as if we were witnessing a spellbinding performance. By 4:30 PM, planes stood tall, ready for flights, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our budding aviators.

Exploring NITK's Facilities and Sunset Reflections:

I took some time to explore NITK's impressive lab facilities, a treasure trove for budding engineers. A slight delay with the cab allowed me to stroll along the nearby beach, where the sea whispered secrets and I soaked in the serenity of the moment.

As I boarded the flight back to Bangalore at 10:30 PM, memories of the day swirled in my mind—the camaraderie, the passion, and the joy of creation. AEROGO's workshop wasn't just about nuts and bolts; it was about dreams taking flight. As the sun set on that day, I looked forward to more workshops, more skies to conquer, and more hearts ignited by the magic of aeromodelling.
