After the Gridiron Notes that were released yesterday on the Face of the Franchise and "classic" Franchise, the rubber finally touched the road in a sense. What do you think of the Madden nfl 24 coins new additions and backlash?

Chase Becotte: Although I'm not shocked to see things like #FixFranchiseMode gain some steam, the degree of anger must be addressed because it stems from a variety of directions. For starters, there's EA who made a statement this year that franchise mode will remain a priority for the foreseeable future. If the claim is that Face of the Franchise counts under this scope, then the truth isn't as obvious. However, the problem with the single-player-focused journeys they've not been great enough.

Longshot was the best effort to create the Madden story mode. it has some great moments, but was still not praised for having engaging gameplay. Longshot 2 is a less engaging story but still didn't have enough of an improvement in the gameplay. In contrast, last year's QB1 was a good beginning but then it quickly slowed out. That's right, EA hasn't nailed the new product they're trying market to the public and at the same time absconding with normal franchise mode when it comes to franchises. They're not offering an interesting one-year story and certainly they're not providing an engaging year-to-year select an adventure. They're not able to be an linear game as well as an RPG in the same way.

Legacy is a different aspect to this. It's more straightforward for players to accept this minor in the event that Madden wasn't the most popular franchise mode experience. It's been a while since it was, however, in the time between Madden nfl and Madden, Tiburon was a franchise mode but perfected at some time. Now? Woof. This issue keeps stacking on top of itself since Madden is behind in franchise mode for a long time now.

If people are talking regarding"the "death" Franchise mode the situation is more striking in Madden because the game already has a disadvantage compared to the competition. If Madden isn't putting enough effort in its franchise mode counterparts this year, it's a thorny issue but the core of the game is stronger, which makes it easier to enjoy yourself with the help of the community. When it comes to Madden there's definitely some amazing mods being played through PC to make up for the shortcomings but the community doesn't aid in the same way to enhance the experience.

Finally, you've got NFL exclusivity ending recently to EA following the announcement by both NFL as well as Madden that the game might open back to competition. All of that is put together and that's how you end up with Madden becoming the ultimate poster child for fanatics of the franchise mode getting together with others in the community to say enough is enough.

I'll admit that the"Face of the Franchise is pretty entertaining. I'm likely to play it for as long as I can bear it. But "classic" franchise? Oh my. I hope they've got huge ideas for franchise mode for the next generation systems. Perhaps they decided that there was not much to do with the current-gen system and decided to put those resources in an overhauled franchise mode for next-gen? If they don't it will make it worse as they move forward with the franchise.

I'm aware that cheap mut coins is their biggest money-maker however, you must be in a more franchise-like mode. It's football. As a coach/GM you must have the ability to manage far more than you do now. There's no reason to delay small-scale advancements. I have a little possibility of an overhaul in the next-generation, however, I wouldn't bet one cent on it.
