That gives you some real opportunities for doing cross-play. I think it would be very hard to balance a premium of The Trail against a free-to-play version, but that's not to say it isn't possible. An interesting opportunity going forward is working out whether or not you could compete, could you create a competition between free-to-play players and premium players—and I'm making this up now [laughs]. Here we are, I'm falling back into the old trap of designing the game while talking to the press! Let's not go any further with that POE currency trade .

In light your recent work, do you see yourself more as a mobile developer nowadays?

What I'm obsessing over today is more far more PC centred. I do love the attention to detail that you can give in a PC game. The bigger screen space is a lovely luxury, I can assure you. And of course the mouse is the greatest gaming device in my opinion. I'll always love the PC.

We got an early look today at Conan Exiles, Funcom's open world survival game, soon to arrive in Early Access. And with Conan comes a delivery of fresh meat. In the character creation menu, players can choose the level of nudity they want: none, partial—downstairs is covered but tops are topless—or full. You're also treated to an 'endowment' slider.

For players who choose a female body, the endowment slider predictably adjusts breast size. For the male body, it adjusts dong size. If you've opted for the Full Monty, sliding it back and forth quickly is more than a bit mesmerizing, and I find it nearly impossible to do so without hearing a slide-whistle in my head.

Proceed with caution.
