Black Knife isn't the best up-and-close weapon as it's outclassed by many daggers especially when factoring in bleed builds. However, the Ash of Elden Ring Runes War Blade of Death does pure holy damage with percentage damage and scales directly with your faith stat.
This is a direct upgrade over the blade of calling due to the percentage damage and how powerful it can be...
